People with 5 and 6 letter private reg plates, some you see that are shortned so that plates fit the letters , is this legal and is there a place that does them?

Or is it a cut diy job

thanks

Yes as said, there legal. Mine in my sig are standard letter size and font with standard spacing, with the proper border around the edge.

yeah can cut to any size ya like mate and shrink the lettering to suit (so the letters dont look odd!! At the moment probably 50% of the plates i do are cut down ones (both bike and car!!)

What's with all these Saltcoats boys doing chubby plates?! That's a Troon thing! You's should stick with your motorbike letters and numbers on standard size plates

I've used a stanley knife and a straight edge in the past. Needs a file run along the edge afterwards though. A hacksaw and a jigsaw can also be used - depends how competent you are with these however, much easier to make an arse of it this way.
