Im well happy, just got issued with my fire kit after passing all the tests/interviews/paperwork 4 months on

Great news, I am so jelous.
I applied 3 years ago and failed the eye test, we were not aloud to join with contacts or glasses. Hurt me for a long time that did.
maybe the law will change one day.

I passed everything other than the ladder climb first time, you have to climb the ladder how they expect you to upto 2 stories then perform a leg lock (put one of your legs through the ladder 2 rungs up then lock your heel on th rung your stood on then go down a rung with your leg thats outside the ladder) then let go, lean back and look down at a card with a colour and shape the instructors holding up, remve your leg lock and descend, all this without touching the strings (sides) of the ladder otherwise instant faliure! Thats where i went wrong first time
