Default loosing coolant

hi,
just found out that i'm loosing cooland in my saff 2wd, it's not extremely, but I do have to add coolant at some times, to keep the same level..

can someone give me some hints what to check and look for?
I don't think it's my headgasket, which is a 3layer kometic one. the oil consumption isn't extreme (about 1 liter in 2000km)..
the engine's now about 10.000km old..

any help appreciated

can you see any dripping on the ground if its been parked up?

you really need to go round all hoses with a fine tooth comb to double check..

As Euan said, or you could get a sniff test done in the coolant see if their is any CO in their. also check radiator for leeks, get the car up to temp and open the bonnet, look for steam/water drips.

Try the metal pipes to the turbo, these get fragile and break, and when they do you lose water and it just gets evaporated onto the exhaust manifold so you never find a trace of it

Is there any sign of water escaping from the header tank cap after hard driving?
