kenwood headunits - decent?
Are Kenwood still a respectible brand offering decent quality?

If you could get one of those utterly legit for 60 quid, would you run it in your car, or is it likely to be pap?
(obviously its not a high end awesome unit, but for a budget HU?)
cheers

I have had a few kenwoods from the old style pull out types to my monitor unit with the motorized screen. Never had a problem with them and they have always sounded cool when connected to the amps etc. I would run it

10K+ Poster!!
i'd only have Alpine personally, like the way they dont really look all that fancy, hate flashy lights n stuff in the car.
But for 60 quid the one in that link looks like a great buy

I have a Kenwood KRC 855, awsome piece of kit, RRP was £580 for head unit, Rad/Cass, with cd changer functions, perfect up till about 6 months ago now playing up, but is about 10 years old so can't moan.
Repair, new tape deck going to cost me £105, but still worth doing for me.
Had a 565 before that but sold it to get above one.
