Default horn

have you a aftermarket steering wheel fitted i had the same problem and it turned out it was the connection between the steering and the nuw hub

hope this helps

you can try bridging the two wire on the steering side of the connected to see if the horn is working

You should check the horn actually works as a lot seize up through lack of use, some can be tuned back in with screw but not always.
If not the NAUTILUS horns are recommended, I have one of these each side and each is a two air horns in one thing, if you bend the bracket through 90 degrees(on straight part) they even fit in the original place on these brackets, then just make up a short earth wire for each to the bracket.
Jesus they are LOUD!!

right, when you bridge the horn terminals behind the steering wheel, it makes the horn relay click, but no noise??

does this mean the relays shagged or the horn unit itself

wheres the horn located on a saff, i cant see it

the horns are located on the fron tof each chassis leg

they mount in front of the rad or 500 cooler

find the relay aswell and give that a check, dont know which one it is sorry

but sits strange for both hrons to go down you would at least have 1 id imagine

pull the cowling off the steering column
find the little long plug for the horn
pull it apart (from the foam as well)
short the wires out on the plug
if the horn works then it'll be the rings on the wheel or the spring loaded contact that have carboned up

as above i have done this and its not the steering boss, its either the relay or the horns themselves

earth the horns properly then

they will be at the fornof the chassis rails near the rad mounts

they only have 1 wire going to them so need to earth through the chassis where they bolt into place

Default horns

lye under the car at the front the horns are located at the junctions of the chassis legs and the cross member on the underside of it

Note they are both earthed and need good contact

failing that try direct wiring them to by pass the relay this will make sure they are working

if the relay clicks then it should be working ok get a multi meter or 12volt bulb on the relay outputs to check and make sure it is sending the voltage out to the horn then trace the wire all the way to the horn check at the connection to the horn u should have power if you have now check you have a good earth if you have all of this and it still doesnt work then the horn is fucked as said more than likley a wirering fault for both of them not to work
