I tried shoving nails in the 4 holes, I cut up a coathanger to have 4 long iron rods. It won't move.

Anyone that has the normal pins that can tell me how thick they are, my guess is they are just round long metal pins ??

Doing my head in, why did the missus have to buy a Ka, they're ugly, and she bought a fucking "tango" colored one, that's like orange, but uglier.

They have indents at the end.

Take the car down to any car stereo place, it'l take them 10 seconds and will save the hassle of fucking up the internal catches with coathangers.

you can use allen keys, nails basicly anything, pop int he holes you will feel then engage, gently lever out the radio a side at a time bit by bit if you got the pins right will come out
