Default any toad ai606 specialists here

my alarm on my cossie has packed up i changed the battery today and now my alarm is dead ie the led aint even lighting any colour and the car wont start as its all immobilised?
the car still locks and unlocks the doors on fob but thats it no noise or flashing sidelight either its like its lost all power?
any ideas?

if the doors are still unlocking on the toad keyfob then it will still be getting power. im trying to rack my brains as to why theyd do this other than a fault in the actual alarm. im no expert but used to fit these a while back. i dont think they need any kind of resetting if the battery is disconected or anything...

ive had the power on and off in the past ie changed battery a few times and it never caused a problem before

also the alarm is only 6 months old got it from CAR ALARM WAREHOUSE and they fitted it also but cant get them until monday

yeah i thought it wasnt an issue taking its power.

if you fancy getting your hards dirty so to speak, theres 6 black wires that disect the perm live, ignition live and starter live that go to the ignition barrell somewhere( should be under the dash if they could be arsed, might just be on the steering column) get a multimeter on them and see what theyre doing, thats where id start.

Im sure you have to enter the pin after swapping the battery to remove the immobiliser i had to on mine anyway hope this helps

sometimes u do but it still flashes to activate pin as the led flashes thats how u set the remote and code etc
