Default anyone know anything bout vauxhalls.....

Hey guys. Dont know if you can help. Got a vectra sri at the moment and the rev counter is dead and the speedo is flicking very fast like a relay has gone or something. Does anybody know where these feeds come from so i can check them out. Also any particular relays or fuses they run on. Thanks guys.

If its effecting both, then it sounds less likely its the two feeds both at fault, and more likely its an earth problem perhaps?

sorry, cant help beyond that as I dont know a lot about a vectra car loom, try the VVOC site thoguh, someone might have had similar on there and can help you.

what a typical response

you can follow the feed for the rev counter from the ecu then through a plug on the bulkhead then up to the back of the clock. i can't remember what pin number on the ecu but can find out if needed. it's a green wire.

the speedo gets it feed from the abs sensors

I had to have my clocks changed in my Vectra GSi due to the same thing. Apparantly these were a common fault on vectras.

vectras have some common fault's but that's not really one of them. i'm on number 6 and never expirienced any speedo fault's.

depending on what model, engine, year you have i've got spare clocks if needed
