Default fridge freezer not working

my freezer doesnt seem to be working properly ice cream seems to be soft and defro sted but other things seem to be ok any one any ideas whats causing this or is this my frost free freezer away to pack in

May just be the stat, common problem on some, and normally quite easy to do DIY.

That's the difficult bit, depends on what make/model, some use a bourdon tube some are fully electronic with circuit board.
It is only a thought that it is possibly that but if not too old worth ahving a poke around, the last one I did was Ł25 ish for new one, then motor went 6 months later!!

i'm assuming both fridge and freezer run off the same pump?

it may be something as simple as a blockage at the temp sensor or not being able to disapate the heat out of the back
try moving it's location and see if that helps

Are you putting the icecream in the freezer part or the fridge part, has great effects on the outcome

Usually the settings are internal to the freezer compartment or on the top front face of the unit.. If not you have been sold a cupboard.

As for your ice cream mate i would suggest that you have purchased some Gino Ginelli spreadable ice cream.

who remember's those adverts then....
