Is there any problems buying a car from Belfast ? ie tax or charges etc ? wat about V5 etc ? whats ferry options from the North ?

they are part of the uk mate so cant see a drama, and the ferry goes from liverpool to belfast, but cheaper to fly out and ferry back

Car Tax is the same.
No import duties/taxes are payable.
Fly over to Belfast International or Belfast City also known as George Best Airport and return Ferries from Belfast to Liverpool or Belfast to Stranraer
Larne to Stranraer Troon or Cairnryan theres more cant remember of hand though one way return back about Ł100-Ł130 just check to see whats closest.
V5 is the same as yours owner returns sale section to DVLNI in Coleraine who contact Swansea who send V5 to you as new keeper.
If the car has been Mot'd over here its a lot more strict than yours.

Belfast to Stanraer is the best route. 2 hour crossing on the fast ferry.

Belfast-Liverpool route takes 8 hours. You can drive from Preston to Stranraer in 3 1/2 hours.

Other route is Larne to Cairnryan which is about 2.5 hours crossing but with an additional 15 minutes drive in Scotland and a 20 minute drive from Belfast to Larne.
