all you artistic pictue takers

afternoon all am looking to get a slr camera my choices are a

fuji finepix s5700
sony dsc-h7
or a olympus sp-550

am new to this so is there a better camera to start with or are these basic

None of those are SLR cameras. They are Digital Compacts. Personally I'd recommend a Canon A550 Powershot. Its fundamentally the current version of the A70 I bought 4 years ago. And that has not put a foot wrong in that time.
