Default GT30 owners - what airbox / filter hose have you got??

I have a samco extreme 102mm dia one on mine and I'm pretty sure its collapsing under boost (sucking in). It seems very flimsy!! I have a funny noise when I lift off. Are the roose ones any thicker??

My Dad uses a 102mm 90 degree elbow with a Group A K+N cone filter. It's not fully set up yet though.

What filter you got?

If its a metal one id not be suprised if thats your prob.

When filters are totally unrestrictive is much rarer for inlet hoses to suck shut.

Pic before I trimmed the hose

Standard airbox, K&N panel filter. The bottom of the airbox has a 4" dia cold air feed down to the bumper grill. It's a samco extreme hose, I was suprised at how flimsy it was when it arrived!!

part of the problem will be that the corrugated cold air feed pipe that you have cannot flow as well as the samco

thats a neat installtion, did you have to cut a hole in the inner wing for the pipe to pass through, bet it gets lots of cold air down there though

is the geen filter and bracket a kit, or did you make it???

Es Cossie's already have the hole in the inner wing (just over 100mm diameter).

Yes, lots of cold fast flowing air

I bought a standard green filter and made the bracket from 4mm aluminium.
