anyone run EGR on big power cossies?
just wonder what advantage it is?

you mean the EGR type of ALS ?
i havent run it but will be on the new car

EGR, exhaust gas recirculation is used on cars as a emmisons device as it lowers the temperature inside the combustion chamber so reducing NOX emmisions, which occur only above a certain temperature, it lowers to below this temperature.

for anyone who dont know what we are on about, its a controlled vent between the compressor outlet, and the turbine inlet! mountune call it EGR ALS
not egr as in the emmisons crap

not all WRC cars use EGR,ONLY SOME.

On the subject of EGR, Gareth T is correct. Also as I understand it, it allows for ALS to be run at marginally lower temps. It has a small canister of compressed air which feeds into the inlet manifold controlled by a pair of solenoids.
I can put up pic of it tomorrow unless anyone has one somewhere?
