Default GT30 turbo power

What sort power would you expect from a Escos low comp with GT30 with the small back housing (.63)

Take it your looking at internal gate turbos Paul ? Would think 480/500 could be seen without pushing things too far.

even with the .63 housing on it.

would it not be better with a bigger back on it to extract the used air better.

I made 405bhp today

To be honest I think the reason I'm thinking GT30 is after today trip to and from the rolling road along side my mates skyline I realised it not actually that laggy and had a lot of fun giving it a good caining..

I think the problem is my everyday car E46 M3 is such a good road car you don't need to cain it to perform.

Also i've done to many trips in the esc with my family and being sensible it just doesn't suit it....

So I'm thinking lets go for it

I been looking at the Gt28 series and 30s the past week and searching for the right choice of compressors trims and housings.

Finally made my choice today and intend to order this within the next week or so once a price has been found that is competitive.

The hardest part of the choice personnly was deciding on the BHP i wanted the car to prodcue, its so easy to start with a figure then relaise a turbo doesnt actually fir that bracket then keep creaping higher higher and higher...

I opted to go internal wastegate and a 5bolt v flange fitment on the exhaust.

Biggest question for you is what BHP and for what use do you want the car to be set for.

think the nail is on the head there thats what i told paul, depends what he wants out of the car... And if what we discussed he should just followed the route he already knows.. Just think he is worried encase it won't work which i think it really will..

Compressor surge

you know nothing

i have the gt30 internal wastegate wouldn't got back to t34 i dont have any surge at all

so what you on about ?? have you tryed one ???

if you go external gt30 that will make more bhp where it's limited on the internal due to small waste gate

the reasons why i went for the Gt30 internal was it was just "plug and play " and makes more POWER and "TORQUE" than the T38 or the T34

all i wanted was abit more power/ torque up the top end without loads of lag and this turbo gives me what i want

it's still need to be live mapped as i am on the T34 chip and XO 38 injectors

the GT30 internal has it's down falls the exhaust housing will crack eventually like the normal t34 i dont know how long it will take before cracks

the good thing i like about the Gt30 internal is it makes positive boost at low rpm so on the road it's a great turbo for normal driving aswell

ill swing from the tree tops about it
