Nil, thats a GT30.76 with the .82 exh housing.

the turbo and the PJ link pipe with the wastegate etc came off a Mark Shead engine runing 500/500 with perfect boost control.

If my T38 turns out to be dissapointing, I think it will have to be a GT30 ... What trim are you going for yeti? And what cams will you be running? will they all do 500ish BHP on the right core engine?

You can see over 550bhp on the right GT30 mate.

500 is certainly not a problem for the 76mm compressor wheel variants and you will just about manage it on the 71mm one on the right engine.

just want to keep it as low lag as possible. - seeing close to 500Lbs ft of torquewould be nice as well, 500BHP would just be a bonus.

A 3071 would be a lot less laggy than the larger 3076 that seems common with the cossie boys, and would get you up towards 500bhp if not actually quite to that exact figure.

IMHO a 3071 It should be able to make 500bhp @ 6500RPM @ 30psi.

Either mate, you can get them with internal or external.

The internals are actually about 20 quid cheaper!

Gatecrasher

I bought that over a month ago Ben, only picked it up Sat.

Chip-3Door

It might be cheaper Chip but its at a cost! Not sure why or how but the internal produces less than an external gated affair!

I'm sure Martin will enlighten us!

The internal watesgate can be too small and in a position that creates turblance which can make the turbine wheel over speed or something like that.

If its out and out power you are after, the external one is a better option yes mate.

Internal one is just popular as its a more simple direct replacement for a T38 etc.

Im sure you could get it to with a decent port job, they are fairly thick walled, but again Im afraid ive never bothered tried, as I prefer the rwd one.

Spec example:

Standard comp healthy rebuilt engine with mild head porting and standard cams. 2WD exhaust with 4x4 inlet, grey injectors and the 3 bar 044 etc. Now with a t34 am i right in saying 400 is the limit? maybe with a cam swap?

What benefits would a gt30 have over t34 with this spec? and what kind of power could be expected?

Not too sure if theres anything wrong with the 4x4 manifold, thought it was mainly to do with the fitment as Chip has mentioned.

But when talking inlets............... Oh there's a can of worms!

Ps I'm running the small turbo inlet

another 100bhp as a ballpark IF the head is up to it, but you will need to change the inlet to see it.

I'm running a small turbo inlet as well, as I have a small turbo car .
Sweedish plenums are a waste of time unless you are after ultimate horsepower, they ruin low down throttle response. Even a std 4x4 plenum with a 14mm spacer will run well over 600BHP, so why change somthing thats not broken?

On the 4x4 exhaust manifold I am sure I have heard 450BHP is the flow limit?

well im running 4x4 plenum with no spacer and made 472.3 at 30 psi. and i hold over 32 on the road so its over 480 in fourth and fifth gear. im on the limit of my inlet and head now though.

The inlet cam? or the manifold? Thats a fair increase in power
