Default Strange computer problems

Lately if i unplug my computer from the mains, say overnight. When i attempt to turn on next day it dosn;t want to.

I plug back in and when i push power button the power lights flashed until i unplug PC. Does this around 5-10 times. Then It will power up for a split second when i push on button. After a few goes of this is will eventually stay on. Does anyone know the problem? Could the battery on the mother board be faulty?

If the mobo battery is faulty it will usually tell you on boot up... Sounds to me like a PSU problem.....

Does it beep or anything before it does?

Have you added any new hardware recently?

no not changed a thing. but then again i can't say i have un plugged it in over the last year or so. It makes no noises either. Later i might try and pull the power for 5 mins then see if it switches on OK. ps i have an acrylic case and the PSU is see through with leds and stuff in if that makes a difference. Might try a new one then.
