did they work before?
what happens if you turn the bottom ones off?
it might be the pump or the plumbing to the rads
then again, if you've only started them up again after the summer lay off it could be something wrong with the boiler end

lots more info please

sound as if your pump may have failed ,remove the centre screw if it has one and give it a spin with a big screw driver

Is the boiler making a loud banging sound?? Would have thought that you would get 'Kettling' if the pump has failed.

To check pump , turn heating on and listern for pump to kick in (can put screwdriver on pump with your ear to other end if you can't tell)

If nothing, turn off, remove centre screw from pump, turn heating on again and try to turn impellar (with a screwdriver, not your finger) to start pump which should kick in.

If the pump is fine, try turning off the upstairs rads & see if downstairs rads warm up.

Could be you need to get system de-sludged.

mine was doing something similar, only bleeding the rads upstairs took all the pressure out the system so i had to re-fill the boiler using a little screw type valve on the water inlet pipe under the boiler. turned this upto 2bar and continued bleeding the rads, had to go through the process a few times but they're fecking hot now

we had the same problem
the downstairs ones would work fine but nothing upstairs
turn the downstairs ones off and, miraculously, the upstairs started to work

ok, so the plumbing was crap as they fed the upstairs from the downstairs rather than run it all from one pipe all the way around but it could be something silly if it's only just been put in

Firstly if your system is pressurised make sure its showing about 1bar cold

Run the heating

Turn all the upstairs ones off

Open all the downstairs ones

Do they get hot now??

If they do then its just a case of balancing the system.

If they dont, it could be an air lock or if you have TRVs they do have a

habit of sticking down, in which case you need to remove the TRV

heads and use a pair of pliers to move the pins out.

Try all that then come and tell us whats happened
