Why do i hate standard air box`s so much, when i put mine on i feel my turbo`s not spooling up the same, i need the whole turbo build up noise plus the chatter, air box`s stink kev, get a big ass filter on there, f*ck the hot air

P.S let me no if cutting it is any good, i`ve still got that pile of sh*it in the hut and i`ll get great joy cutting the f*cker

Drilled my airbox out on my A4 and my FRST before changing to a T3. Always worked well fro me. I have been told by a user on a VAG forumn that it doesn't work at all and he threw all sorts of technical arguements at it as to why it didn't/couldn't work.

Don't know yet I cut my finger doing it and now I'm watching tv I'll find out tomorrow. I was looking for more noise really without an induction kit because I like the standard look.

I've read that cones don't work too well which is why I'd gone for the panel filter. I'll let you know once I've driven it

Is it worthwhile drilling holes in airbox ?

not if you're just going to suck in hot air.

Yes, AVA and it reduced the vaccum that was being created in Euan's airbox until he started to up the boost even more, and then the lid still started to collapse, so this is why he made his airbox bigger.

mike, do either of the carbon airbox lids you do for the 2wd base, take a t34 size hose? or is one standard t3 and the other t4?
