Its my girlfriends 1999 VTR, its got 62k on the clock. But basically sometimes when you try to start it,usually after a short journey it seems to flood.so then you have to leave it for half and hour or so,but when it does start it revs really high when it does start!

What could be the problem? idle valve?

Any help much appreciated!

 

could be the idle control valve, think there is a senor you can un plugg when it is running hot, take it off and see if the revs drop
