Default Roller bearing turbo and ceramic ctd manifold. will it work?

I'm planning on getting a gt2876r dual ball bearing turbo and I'm half way through fabricating my tubular manifold out of stainless 304. I am worried about under bonnet temps so was going to have the manifold ceramic coated.

I've done a bit of reaing and have heard that the roller bearing cartridges are actually encased in plastic and thats why you need the water cooling hooked up.

My question is can I run the ceramic coating and not kill the turbo with the extra heat it will be recieving? I can't see it making much difference tbh but thought it best to check if anyone has made the mistake in the past.

Cheers
Dan

Will you coat the manifold internally and externally or externally only?

I was going to get it done internally...but worried if it fails it'll take the turbo with it....

Internally and Externally probably as we can get it done FOC at work if I pull in a few favours.

yup although I'm worried about them not doing it correctly inside the manifold and costing me my turbo...so if it gets done at work it'll only be exterior.

There was a long post about the effects on ceramic coating not long ago - try having a search.

If it was me - i would always be worried about fractures/cracks/pieces of the coating finding its way into the turbo.
