had a fine for being stopped in a box junction ?


I got a nice photo of my cossie in the post this morning aparently stopped in a box junction, only thing is my back wheels are well over the line and not in the box


Wondering if anyone has contested against these fine and if so what was the outcome ?

The line of the end of the box junction are behind my back wheels.

you are not allowed to enter the box unless your exit is clear,as you had to stop with the back of your car in the box its a offence,so pay your fine. if it was me,defence would be,exit was clear,then a child ran across the road causing you to have to stop.

So because the back end of my car not the wheels is over the line i'm breaking the law ?

you dont know your highway code that good do you lol,if any part of your car is in the box you are breaking the law.

yes, you are still in the box junction, as all of the car must be clear of it, and it quite clearly isnt. If a vehicle that had a 10ft overhang were to do that, it could cause quite a problem, so rules are rules!
