Default went out on my motocross bike today AND ........

It was so boggie my front wheel keeped clogging up and at one point i was sat on the spot flat out in 3rd gear later my clutch started to slip and in the end i did'nt even get up the hill (it is bloody steep tho)

Her's is a Honda CR125 and mine is a Honda CR250 i think there was a cursh on are's as are's were 2stroke bikes (Thinking about it my other m8 out there on his DT125 yes road bike and road tyres started playing up

My m8s CRF250 and RM250F went on all day not problems

No insurance, no license, no nothing.

Just turn up, pay your 15 quid or whatever it is and off you go.

On an "open pitlane" format

So you can just come and go as you please

The standard of people up there on a sunday isnt that massively high TBH

First time I ever went there, I had only ridden my bike a couple of times, and I was FAR from the slowest there and was beating people on much more powerful bikes.

You just have to disconnect your brain for MX and not use the bit that says "what if I hit a tree" or "the bike is slipping around I need to back off" and instead just keep it wound open, point it roughly where you want it and see what happens!

Its got a std front tyre but we changed the rear for a used enduro tyre off my mates KMX, as he had a new to fit. Ill see how it goes and invest in a front if need be but trying to keep cost down as its just for messing about on. Cost me and mate 25 quid so far for this bike

Yea i know what you mean . We went out awhile ago when we had DT125 and took it down a local quarry. It was me who had only ever riden a bike for a few mins and a couple of mates who have been riding for yrs.

There was nice section that was proper boggy and had a jump at the end. Both my mates got bogged down half way through and had to push the bike out. Where i jsut kept the throttle pinned and fish tailed through like a pro and proper jumped the end bit, turned her around and did the same on the way back. I was litereally hangin on for dear life with my heart proper pounding. Dunno whether it was shear luck or just natural talent. I like to thing natural talent though

Alan, sorry mate, my current phone is an antique that works with my car kit, so doesnt recieve picture messages.

There are some VERY good people up that track, but there are far more who are not very good, so its ideal for beginners, thats what I meant.

It was because it had been BONE DRY for wks and then Pissed down Sunday Night and so all the lose dirt had turned to clay/mud
It did'nt help i had ajusted the chain up abit on Saturday on my own and thought it was ok but found it to be a little tight on the day so losened it off but was to late i think i had do the damage early on
