I had no problems with my Mullet box at 460 measily horsepower

Very happy with the service supplied by Marco / Barra, and was my pleasure being a test dummy for the box

Dog engagement is the way forward though - as synchro boxes just can't keep up with proper fast changes.

that is a rich mans box simple as

he has sold more mullit boxes in the last 12months than 1 single ffd

people that have got money to burn (or sponcerd cars) will buy an ffd or an x-trac box they just want the best because money is no object

So which Ford based box will handle a 10 second capable car all day or weekend long at a sticky track and some decent tyres, without having to worry about getting stranded ?

Mullit ? Fixit ? other ?

Mullit I'd say given that Porkie runs his at well over 500 bhp and rags the fook out of it on track days!

Seem to be very good for the money too...

My Mullet box thats going into my Escos will be getting LOTS of 1/4 mile abuse, and I will be running a twin plate clutch and thickwall front diff as well, so I will be able to launch it hard ... Mine has the uprated first as well, and hopefully will be about 430-440BHP , so I am hoping to get into the late 11's Can't fault the customer service either

it's hard to say

personally think the ffd and the xtrac would take the absue all day long

saying that theres a lad called Martin who has Mullit box in his escort cos in Bulgaria doing high 10's without any issues

Wenny another lad doing low 11's on another Mullit box

at the end of the day you get for what you pay for basically the mullit box is a standard replacement for the normal mt75 striaght bolt in no mods

standard spec of the Mullit box is 2nd /3rd/ 4th /5th big tooth striaght cuts gears the rest is optional like uprated mainshft/1st gear/bearings/vc/lower ratio 5th /and now dog engaugment

thats all i can say

TG Racing in Sweden uses all Mullit kits now and has been for the last 12/13 months without any issues he use to use all the Fixit kits on some of the top drag cars in Sweden

no, not at the moment they are normal ratios as it was designed as a fast road /trackday box to take abit of bhp it was never desinged as a rally box

the new option is the dog box on the same ratios but to give a faster gear change

56 kits been sold not one come back with any broken gears except for mike rainbirds car and his broke because the standard bearing colapsed

which took out the 4th gear on the 1st motion shaft it's good product for what your paying

the dox box will be more money tho

Noise doesnt bother me so much...it would be shift quality with the dog box for normal road use....

Can anyone comment ? Is it something you could happily drive around town at the weekend, or would it annoy you a lot ?
