just been charged with careless driving,has bein dropped from dangerous not 2 sure wat 2 do ,passed a junction at bout 80MPH on a 60 limit with the traffic cops sitin at it.they didnt get me on a speedgun so its just there word against mine and 3 other passengers.got 5 points already but only allowed 6 so am pretty screwed don't know wiether to go guilty or not guilty.

no idea mate, never had the call for one. I suspect, find a largeish legal practice and ask them to refer you to someone who commonly deals in traffic cases.

a police car side on cannot estimate your speed as slightly excessive, so it can't be that.

going through a junction at 80 in a 60? sounds like a fair enough charge to me. best advice would be to buy a buss pass as you wont be driving for a while.

a would not worry till you recieve a sumons from the court a been charged twice with dangerous driving and its never made it to court and once was for over 3 times the limit on a bike. and if you do go to court plead guilty the fine /ban will be less

thanks alot guys im up at court on the 20th of october it was a dangerous driving offence but the sumons from court dropped it to careless,thats wats making me want 2 go not guilty as am lead to believe they have only dropped it because there is no hard evidence to say i was speeding and want me to plead guilty to somethin cheeRS david i'll give Liam O'donnel a call 2morrow should maybe av posted somethin on a "vauxhall" owners page its bound 2 be full of criminals

Hi fella, looks like your ass is in serious bother.
My advice on this is as follows.

First point of contact would be to seek advice from a solicitor like White Dalton, i am a crazy biker and they only deal with motoring law and nothing else, also normal for bikers but call and ask to speak to Nick Routh, say Gareth Griffiths recomended you.

In relation to your offence, in the eyes of the law your going to have a tough one, being that it was 2 traffic officers and there deemed as experts in traffic. the fact that they did not have a correct reading by means of a vascar or other is where you could have a loophole, as in law it states that they need concrete proof, you could argue saying that they did not have correct vision on the road, or that they were to far away to gain a true reflection, you could come out with the argument that the car sounds faster than it was due to the dumpvalve and the exhaust system.

However the Courts tend to stick to there guns and back the Police in this and being honest i would argue for this case to be sent to Crown Court in front of a jury as you can present your case and have 12 people listen to your case and that of the police. This way its can be fairer.

However if your found guilty of this offence the penalty could be worse, but if you want to argue best way, all the best in this

dont think its fact hes trying to squirm out of it.but 80 in a 60 shouldnt always be dangerous or reckless driving.speeding fair enough but if it said 80 on hi speedo was probably about 70 and i thought they need proof aswell.
not guilty all the way mate if you plead guilty to reckless and careless youll be geting the bus for at least a year lol
the camera vans need to provide proof and gatso's also so its the same here
