I dont believe this car is as standard as you all think though.
For some reason i get the impression its faster, alot faster than a normal granny.

i guarantee you it wont get CLOSE to 150mph at brunters, and thats a lighter car, manual transmission, and runs go-go gas. infact saying that the car wont do 150mph full stop as its not geared for it... lol

it would be nice if it was in a couple of months , cos i,d have the 24v lump in my mk2 by then . i,d be more than happy to put my car against it ! of course mine will be totally standard

Look forward to seeing the results! I do wonder however why the guy seems so sure about 180mph to accept the bet when he is selling something ie requires money. Either its totally steath, im talking 007 style twin engines or someshite, or the speedo over-reads big style

My money is on the Granada they are well fast, I did try to but that car of e-bay but he took it of. If he decides to sell it still would Redline like to feature it or maybe me and you could do the Gumball next year in it.
