Default The 180mph Granada on Ebay. I've got £1k bet with him!!

After I sent him an email, he has responded and accepted my challenge!

Fair play he is actually a really cool guy on the phone, and is right up for it.

He has pulled the car off Ebay and we are going to try to do it next week at Brunters using Rentons Datron equipment.

The bet is very simple. I KNOW its NEVER EVER going to do 180mph and I was SOOOOOOO sure of this I have wagered £1,000 that he can't even do 150mph at Brunters. He has accepted this...

I am now wishing I'd have said 160mph but never mind Got to give the guy a chance to take my money

Watch this space, as I could be made to look VERY silly!!!! Fair play if the old girl does it though, but a GENUINE 150mph at Brunters is fast... I mean 300bhp+ cars like Tiffs and Pops could only just do it so how is a big fat old granny?

Renton is right up for this and thinks it could become a regular feature! 'Put your money where your mouth is' or something similar... 'a put up or shut up' thing for all those blokes down the pub with 500bhp Cossies on 4 greens and a T3, 200mph normally aspirated Supras and 8 second 1/4 mile 2.0 16v Novas

P.S I may need some egg remover for my face later in the week, does swarfega work ok?

for 1k thats what I though as well! BUT I specified in the bet that it the car from the advert which he says it NON turbo'd and standard as far as he is aware.

I also said NO gassing it up! coz that would be my idea!

I reckon its going to need 300bhp at LEAST to pull a car to that size upto 150mph at Brunters... and I just don't think a 24V6 can do that without Gas, forced induction or some serious Throttle boddie type action that would be obvious from the pictures.

I personally think my moneys 'pretty' safe.... but I do realise I have lined myself up for a HUGE

So even if it does 150mph and he takes my 1k, I try and get him to admit that 180mph may have been a little optimistic of him

AWESOME day, great event... Sierra was silly silly silly fast

Then we got some route cards and had a 45 mile blast down the road to an aircraft hanger from the Gumball 3000 Donut competition!

Was VERY cool. Best one for me was a lovely Ferrari 360 that got soooo abused and hot it started shooting angry blue flames from all 4 exhausts

Will post some piccys later.

Fair play to oyu for putting your money where your mouth is

You must have too much money if you got a grand to spare or your pretty sure that he won't do it as you do know your stuff.

You told him he's not allowed to strip it to give him a bit of a head start on acceleration.

Yes, but if it has, it wont do the speed in the distance. Even if it does, it wont stop!!

I'd race him!! How about that, 3.0 24v against 1.6 8v
