Default Windows - Non elect to elec conv??

How much of a pain in the bum would it be to convert a saph from windy windows to electric windows?

There is one in the breakers yard near me, just wondering what I would need. Obviously switches and motors, but would I need the loom too, or would that be hidden away in the car already?

The loom is seperate to the main loom,so if you don`t mind spending a few hours weeding it all out of the donor car,it`s a fairly simple conversion.....

Sorry Phil......

What i meant was,it is a complete seperate loom just for the windows and IS plug and play...

The time consuming bit is removing and refitting into your car......the power plug for the window loom will be in your loom behind the dash...

Ah, that's more like it man

So, I can basically butcher the shit out of the breakers car for the loom, ripping panels off galore, and then just take my time feeding it nicely into mine?

Not all cars are plug 'n' play. Earlier cars had no wiring there, only the post-facelift ones I think it is.

Precisely.....

Make sure you get the looms out of the doors as they will be different to yours, then simply add in the main window loom and plug it into the power connector on the right hand side behind the dash...

Not ALL of them. Cossies maybe, but I know of 2 H-plate non-Cossie Saffs that did not.

Again, Mick or Dojj should be able to clarify.
