Default What would you do?

Reet, a while back i seen an ad in the paper for a comptetiton to win a years driving for the VXR BTCC team...

so i went online and answered the questions (or Googled the ones i didnt know and guessed the rest )

after all the questons it got to a ti breaker "in 3 words, state how your friends would describe how you drive"

my answer was 'Like a cunt'

and that was that...

then a couple of weeks later i get an email saying that i have got through to the semi finals - now this is a karting stint at Thruxton, and then if your good enough - the final...

so either they thought my reply was ace, or no one else entered

now, im a bit fat and weigh in at about 14.5 stone at the mo, so im pretty sure that i wont be the fastest person there, but it might be a good laugh and some free karting lol...

but im having second thoughts if i can be arsed to go or not now lol...

if not there is combe for the rally day, or i just stay at home...

what would you do?

Dan, you dont deserve to be in a prestiguous car like a vauxhall, stick to your old fords mate

Seriously though, worth a shot I reckon if its free, and not some scam to make you pay for karting, lol

Id nob em both off to go to the All Star drift event at Chepstow, winner gets Ł1000quid too, none of this entering for the love of it business there.

Or go Karting, for all you know all the opposition will be blind quadraplegics, and you might win.

I say go for the karting, you never know what might happen. There could be only one other contender who weighs 18.5 stone

If you could be bothered to do the comp, then imo you should go

Whats the worse that could happen?

Apart from coming last...

imagine if you won you would have to put up with driving a fucking crocksall for 12 months - sorry but i couldnt do it - i hate vauxhall with a passion. a full race prepped top spec car might be a little differant but if its anything like thier production models past and present then i would go to the rally day.

ive only ever seen one good crocksall and that was a mk 3 astra that was in a hangar at elsmereport while we were scrutineering there one year - some massive wide arched 4 wheel drive beast - possible rally cross car??

thing is, i hate vauxhalls too

but to drive a propper specced car, as you say is a little different lol

still, i could always crash them into the other VXR's and take out the front runners

probably wont last long there tho

I know someone else who's entered this and will be karting...

*Edit: they have already done the karting. They raced on Sun @ Milton Keynes and won their heat.

At the very worst, you wont win.

I don't know on both acounts Dan. Altho he drives a Pug 406.
Judging by the published results for the first two kart races, they list the Top 24 (12 AM, 12 PM) so guessing it's 20 per race.
6 kart rounds: info is

15mins to set your own fastest lap.
Those go to a Grand Prix where the top 2 go to Finalist Camp.

1st four already through. This weekends results to be displayed.

what about the option to fix the 3 door

if the karting is free then go for it, what have you got to lose?

other than your dignity after you get thrashed by some 4 year old

I went to tha manchester event , had a wicked day , Free Karting , cant argue with that , Plus i Qualified for the morning GP Final , which against 400 ish others i was pretty pleased about , If you look at manchesters Final results for the morning im there "Stuart Woodward" 5th and after starting 9th i was pretty pleased , i think if id qualified better id have certainly been in with a shot.

There were 18 sessions of about 15 mins each when i was there , fastest 12 of the morning through , and fastest 12 for the afternoon. Both go into a final race off Winner takes all

what you need is a doppelganger to do the buisness
then bask in the glory, when you turn up for the btcc team just say
you put on weight and had a face lift
