ffs...why is nothing ever simple with a cossie?
Car went to NMS today to be put back together after it blowing the headgasket, the head had been skimmed and very thing just needed bolting together and setting up.
Later that morning i get a call from call from Karl, "Rich, who skimmed you head for you, cus its not very good, it needs doing again, you have got some slight corrosion in the bores and and they need honing, the exhaust manifold studs have stripped the threads in the head and will need heli-coiling, there is damage to the wire rings, they will need doing, did you know your alternator is about knackered, oh and one of the CV boots has split".
Karl quite rightly said he can put it back together as is, but would not be held responsable for any thing that might happen.
So i have gone from a simple job of just bolting it back together, to all this shit!!
It seems with cossies it is just one problem after the bloody other.
I BLOODY HATE THE THING!!!

Its just an old car mate. They need lookin after. I know of newer cars what have fucked up and its cost my friends money to put back. A friend of mine bought a evo he had it 3weeks and the engine blew up. 3 pistons where nackered and it had scored the block. Another mate of mine is on his 3rd engine in his impreza n on his 2nd gear box. Theses Are alot newer cars than the cossies.

Who skimmed the head buddy?
When Karl fixes the problems you will love it again
I only let Andy Fisher touch my car as he is one of the best around, if i
never had Andy then Karl would be my first port of call as his work and
understanding of cossies are great hope its not too expensive
