why am i causing trouble, asking a question to someone i know.....
I know mine makes over 500bhp at lower boost than most with a t4 in car LOL....
does that count......
540bhp per saff is what 1400 kilo's with all the extra stuff.... 385 ish per tonne....

Dingy mate - words most pointless question ![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I know passionford is generally populated with crap chat - but this takes the biscuit
One thing I would be interested in is the improvement in acceleration times seen from a standard H-pattern box to a sequential one. When you listen to a decent cossie on a sequential box its ALWAYS on the power - I wonder what sort of differences that makes in 0-100 and 0-150 etc.
What do u think Rod? Would you see improvements if you ran one in your car?
Cheers!

why is it pointless...
I just wondered if he had a comparision to andy's car......ffs....
whats pointless is you trying to sort your geometry with no gauges

Know whats amusing about the geometery is its the best its ever been since a drunk martin, stockton and a clueless me set about changing it lol!
Acceleration wise would it not be more interesting to compare the Focus to Kev Sharps old escort cossie - atleast they are both 4wd?
Cheers

Rod - I mentioned it as you quote some impressive acceleration times for your motor and wondered what the impact of a sequential box would be. I now understand you only quote the acceleration times as a consequence of the power needed to get to over 200mph and its not something you are directly interested in.
I've yet to drive a car with a sequential box, the closest thing being the DSG box on a golf gti... which isn't quite the same lol![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Lets get back to the point - Euan how does your 2wd standard transmission heavier than std Saph cossie compare in acceleration to AG's light weight tubular front end, clever transmissioned sequential box'd slick shod 4wd race car focus?
Cheers

Euan, earlier in the post yo said it was unfair to compare your car to the others mentioned. Fair enough.
Then you proclaim to be fastest Cosworth powered car in Scotland, is that not a comparison, and a blatant contradiction?

Rod, I think the whole ever lasting debate all comes down to splitting hairs.
WTF does "fastest" mean
I bet that Focus would piss everything, until it ran out of gears. So Euan wins one thing (top speed), and his is king?
Its like the Ferrari F1 car having a better top speed than a Maclaren, but it lost the race. Which would you rather have.... seriously. A car the pulls 5mph more, or one that wins all the races?
The top speed dream is a tad one dimensional. Cars are multi purpose after all.
I know that you have done many thousands of miles in your car over the years/builds, but would you not derive more satisfaction from your car if it was a jack of all trades, rather than a one trick pony?
I'm not having a dig at either your car or Euans car, as they are both fantastic bits of kit, and something I would be very very proud of. But why not diversify its abilities?
Get it on track

If I were to go on the track it would be in an official series in a proper car, with a proper driver, with winning the aim, not the rubbish I hear on here with perceived quickness of cars around a track at shows, put the clock on them & their would be a few shocks.
My car exsists purely to retain the Fastest Cossie in the world title for MAD & drive me from A to B when I fancy it, this one dimentional car can still do 0-180 in 17.8 secs so enough grunt for an old bugger like me, its 18 years old now & one more Topspeed run will see it gracefully retired.
