Default EDIS4 rev limit

How is rev limiter done in cars with EDIS4, is it just fuel cut? Or is the power feed cut from the EDIS4 module?

as far as i was aware, it's the ecu that dictates the rev limit

how it does it i'm not sure about though, but if it were edis based it would be spark cut rather than feul, although the eariler ecus on the boggo models were fuel cat as they would only feul to a certain limit before stopping

It's fuel cut only, EDIS has no way of cutting spark. If EDIS loses contact with the ECU, then it defaults to 10 degrees BTDC.

The ecu normally does control the rev limit.

However, the edis module has a physical limit in its own software of 8500 rpm. (approx)

In this state all spark output will just stop.
