Default Motorbike problem - any gsxr600 experts??!!

Me mate has an R plate GSXR 600 (SRAD) and he's had it apart fitting a relay for his new LED indicators (to slow the flashing down). However, since putting back together the bike starts fine in neutral, but as soon as you engage any gear the engine cuts instantly! The fuel pump relay seems ok as it is priming when going into neutral but I know fook all about bikes!

Anyone help?!

Cheers
Chris

Sounds like the stand switch is kicking in. IE if you put it in gear with stand down it cuts out......

as its an older bike its probably just bad conections on the stand switch, i would check that first.

Sounds like a faulty side stand switch as said above. Hopefully an easy fix.

Take off the relay for the light problem and see if that fixes it.

You dont need a relay to slow down LED lights, just a resistor across the positive and negative. That will work and should not affect the rest of the wiring.

certainly sounds like it could be a dodgy side stand switch.
