don't use sierra floor pan but use the tunnel you can't beat the way its pressed over a MT75 4x4 box and comes with gear box mount and prop mount and h/brake mount.

if you are trying to get one done within a budget then you will never get a new fabricated tunnel and it will never be as good as the original one
mine are sandblasted before fitting so they are like new

Surely andy gallagher is the man for this?

His focus is testament to what he can do in my opinion

The list goes on of people who are capable of carrying out this conversion properly.

Only issue is money as its not cheap done right.

A mate of mine had or still has a new Gartrac mk4 convertible shell, its a right shame its a cabrio as I would of probably had it off him.

He also built a Escort Cosworth convertible using the genuine inner wings and all other panels from a Esc Cos, most people think its got a rs turbo engine under the bonnet, little to they know its actually got a T4, 8 greens and plated diffs all round lol

I'd imagine your looking at 5k to do a shell properly and you need a mint one in the first place too !

Cool project though, ultimate sleeper if done right

i know youngy , and sorry i didnt get your calles yesterday , i was busy

i know its a pricy conversion ,

but you weight in building a well specced zetec motor and your looking well into the 6 k mark

and thats just the motor

then put into that all the brakes and suspension ( that ill ahve to get either way

you can get a stage three cos motor with all ancillares for around 2100-2500

went u weigh it up it starts to be not far off big cash either way

only advantage being

ITS BLOODY REAR WHEEL DRIVE YALL

andy would it be cheaper if there wernt a rush bk for it lol

oddkidds, escort was done by a guy in scotland in his little council garage as i went and bought it and that was done by fitting all the sierra inner wings complete floor bulk head which in turn made it a bit rough and spoiled the seating mounts and position front and back so the way andy-g does it is bang on, my cab has fabricated tunnel and part sierra bulkhead and front strut tops from sierra fabbed into escort inner wings so it still looks factory keeping the correct look of inner wings
