I thought it would be a simple case of ringing Burton and ordering an uprated clutch that could take 230bhp or so. I've heard the AP 4 paddle is good, so asked about that, and he said the pedal would need changing, and the pawl and things (haven't done a clutch before so not certain about what's what). Can anyone set me straight on what's what with that? It's a Mk3 Fiesta of course, and I'm using an Escort LSD box with it.
Also, is the organic clutch worth the extra money for useability, and can it deal with the power as well as the paddle clutch? Any help would be very much appreciated

the erst standard clutch ratchet sometimes isn't strong enough to hold the extra pressure of an uprated clutch, therefore people fit a manually adjustable pedal
& ratchet from a mk6 escort. its easy to do & not expensive.
i dont think the mk6 pedal would fit in the fiesta though. if it dosn't, it shouldnt be that hard to modify the fiesta pedal to accept the manual adjuster.

If you follow this link, all is explained here.
With the higher clamping pressure of the AP clutch, that leads to higher pedal effort required to operate the clutch. This destroys ratchets very quickly.
Converting to this pedal set-up removes the old ratchet problem.
All part numbers and mods are described on this page

Good luck
