jim the STRANGE thing about that is MY bmw has the EXACT slave cylinder and master cylinder,,,, it TO shares the brake fluid YET mine has NEVER slipped when the brakes cooked,,,,,, and i fluid DID boil at the ring as i never changed it before

so that AINT the reason for it or MY " pile of shite" as you called it would have ALSO done it would it not ???

mine has NEVER done it and i drive up alexandra palace twice a day IN TRAFFIC to get to work,,, when i slip the clutch as thats how i drive

its like me saying my rear arch isnt rusty as ive got a bill for it being done 2 years ago so its just reacted paint ,,, its not its rust and the job wasnt done proper 2 years ago hence its return

btw think you can get M3 diffs for around 250 quid so not a major thing and aint hard to change

ginge, it's going to CTS for a diff rebuild on monday, so no biggy. a quaiffe item is only £660 so shouldnt be too bad.

and i really, seriously, totally, 100% guarantee you that the clutch was slipping because it had overheated due to being slipped. there's only one thing that could have caused it to slip, and thats if it was not properly disengaging. i can tell you from driving the car at the time that the clutch was biting on the floor, and therefore not disengaging, and that this was being caused by poor hydraulic performance.
