my missus just got this email, she has now closed her paypal account and is trying to close her ebay account.

she said nothing has been bought on her account tho.

anyone know??

Any email that asks for person details to be verified is a scam, be it ebay or ANY other site

the link isnt directed to the 'actual' ebay site it directs you to a spoof site and notes all your personal details!
I remember one asking for your 'social security' number, bank account pin number etc

eBay and PayPal know your full name and use that in their mails.


So mails starting with:
Dear eBay member
Dear PayPal user
= SCAM

Legit mails start with a greeting using your full name.
