i have just built a 500 bhp engine and fitted it in my saff. but im bored already and still want an escort cossie.

trouble is i dont want 4wd. i know my engine and box will go straight in but do i need to change the rear beam for the 2wd diff and also what would i need to do with the front when i remove the driveshafts.

has anyone on here done this and if so what is your experiences, good or bad.

also does anyone know where i will find an escort without an engine.

buy a esc cos with an engine, swap engines and sell the saff

you need to swap the front cross members, drive shafts can be removed and the hubs left, or you can fit 2wd/3dr front hubs (best idea) engine and T5 box will bolt straight in, use a 3dr/2wd rear beam/arms/diff/shafts but you need to have the prop modded as the escort is slightly shorter than the saph.

speak to paul north yorks or cossiedave as they both have done rwd escorts
