He's just trying to start an argument, its nothing to do with real opinions, not even worth replying.
Its same as anything anyhow, some people like it, some dont.
Some people enjoy having sex with dogs, dont mean everyone does.

A bit like wanking. Fun to do but not that great to watch other people.
I went to a few events with a guy that competed in an RX7 a couple of years ago. I'm sure most of the people that do it in Japan are crazy mad YO! but most of the the drivers at these places seemed to be chess club, online gaming geeks. Maybe that's changed now.

TBH I cant watch drift DVDs for long and im a BIG drift fan, i dont think ive ever watched a whole one without falling asleep, tho i may have Narcolepsy
BUT watching it (ie competitions, not dicking about) in reality I totally love it, BUT thats because i understand (the rather complex) rules, and as 90% of folk dont, I can see why people would get bored as you wont know whats going on.
The MAIN thing I like about drifting is its about skill rather than the equipment you got, a bit like rallying is, maybe even more so.
Unlike F1 etc etc where unless you got the best stuff you got no chance, drifting is about whos the best driver and whos got the most bottle, a shit car with a mint driver can win, and the best car in the world wouldnt even get your average driver past qualifying even in a novice comp.
But there no denying its all about the taking part, everyone I ever see whos experienced as a passenger or a driver "proper" drifting (not carpark or mini roundabout billies doing a bit of power oversteer) finds it a damn sight more fun than pretty much everything else you can do in a car.
Esp when it comes down to twin drifting etc, which is a stupid adrenaline rush. Its mega enough racing or trackdays when its door to door, but just imagine that sideways at 100mph+

I agree it can be entertaining (watching people drift, not watching em wank ) but I too bore of it quite soon - it's just not my thing!
But the world is made up of a diverse range of people, and one mans passion is another mans poison and all that.... So each to their own, do what makes you happy....
I do admire the sheers skill level of it tho - I know I couldn't do it, so hats off to them for being able to do it.
