About average for a 1Mbps connection, average is usually about 920kbps downstream and 220-260kbps upstream.

My work connection:

Downstream 5415 Kbps (676.9 KB/sec) 5848 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 5033 Kbps (629.1 KB/sec) 5435 Kbps (inc. overheads)
