had a few problems keeping noddy on the track in the morning but once we sorted the problem (tyres ) we had no other issues all day except for running out of fuel and forgetting to go for a 0-60 run

nice to meet marco- shame it wasn't due to better circumstances

its a great track thats not too hard on the car

will deffo be at the next one, and hopefully for all weekend as i'm still trying to catch up on sleep now
Hi paul

thanks for all your help and your mate , i really appreciate it , if theres anything i can help you out with in the future just give us a shout

I have spoke to Brom today he is making 20mm longer sleves for the rose joints its should be ok

good track isn't it defo going again

marco
no problem at all mate- just glad i could help- but will keep the offer in mind

glad you sorted things with brom- the longer sleves should do the trick, maybe you could get adjustable top mounts if you wanted to run any more camber?
the other guy was richard my nephew,19 years old and a total petrol head- he's always willing to get stuck in and led a hand

Hi paul

im on the case with the top mounts , i have spoke to steve and all he wants it a standard top mount to make them

he will make both types ones to adjust camber/castor and the other to be just fixed postion with the rose joint marco

Unfortunately, i don't think it's for the lack of trying to help the main club - they don't appear to want to listen to, esp when it comes to the track

I understand ND is not just about track, but when i read the above feels like i'm moaning for the sake of it. Does that not clearly indicate there is a problem with pricing/organisation when there is space left at the RSOC's main event when Croft and Bedford sell out. The replies i got from the committee seemed to me like there is a reluctance to do anything about it as they aren't filling the track in the first place - there are reasons for this, but they just seem to get ignored.
Asking scar about track time is like asking me about concours.....simply pointless.

If track time is not important at national day then why is not a static show.

Track time at national day has been as important as every other part of it since 1993 and i have been to everyone since then....Rockingham was the worse run and worse organised for most things. Track Time was dreadful and the rockingham circuit is rubbish.

If the track time is not abig part of national day why are people not renewing their membership cause the track time at national day is so poor. For some people its the highlight of the show season to have their car on track for all the other enthusiasts to see.

Since the national day organisers have stuck up the cost and robbed you of half a day's track time its never going to fill up....

I could have filled 3 days on the trott at croft......WHAT DOES THAT TELL THE NATIONAL CLUB about what members want......

SOME WANT TRACK TIME
SOME WANT CONCOURS
SOME WANT LOCAL GROUP STANDS.....

WHY does it always seem the people on the track get the shit deal.....when it costs them about 80% increase in cost than everybody else.

Club needs to take a look at how successful croft was and take notes cause for the first time EVER a regional day was 80% better than national day (according tp the voters) and thats some landslide victory.

Sort national day out or the national day will not be national day it will be simply another show on the calender.

PMSL at Scar's reply to Linsay

Up until 2004, track was always full until the RSOC got greedy and started to charge inflated prices. There was always a reserve list and people were desperate for tracktime and prices were reasonable for a full day [7 sessions].

Dingy.... the current committee say they will listen to what members want but they will never actually act on any of the suggestions.... FACT!

hi scar

there was no fooking way i was paying 85 fooking pound for 1/2 a track time at rockingham which you would have got a about 3 or 4 sessions

thats a pi55 take at the highest degree

no wounder the rsoc had loads of spaces left

and i bet the rsoc never paid alot for rockingham because it was already payed for by the ford salloons

dont get me wrong i dont mind the rsoc saving a few and to make a few quid on the behalf of the members but when your not even getting a full track day to me and a few others it is a waste of time

no offence but i am not one bit botherd about seeing cars parked up in a field showing all their shiney bits off

most of us that are into track days want fullday track time not 1/2 a fooking day

if national day is like this next yr i wont be re newing new my membership
