If wire are correct battery to fan + FUSED
- side to relay
relay to switch
switch to earth
so not after ingition turn on
if you did rewire it do a fan per relay
best to leave out the cosworth factory wires as melts the fuse holder

Think they talking about the HEATER fan not the radiator fan

Ye they do do this, but you can turn it off just not on the fan dial

Cant remember exactly but think it on the slider for the direction of the airflow, ie screen car etc, if you pull it right back (left i think) it will then stop the fan totally

The reason is to keep the windscreen demisted and air circulated. It's actually a good idea and my fans are never off in the S1 (always on first speed). I can't hear it or feel the draft so i'm not bothered!!

Ford advanced on this idea on later cars and anything with aircon not only keeps the fans running but also the air con if you go anywhere near any of the windscreen settings!

LOL!! Took a while to work it out then?

Try it on an Aston DB7 then!! Had the dash out about 3 times looking for a blower fault causing it to blow red hot all the time!
