They correct for all kinds of things like baro pressure/cell temp i am sure there are others but cant remember what but it is to keep the figures consistant and correct for diff days or we would all be dynoing in the winter ,
Yes the block is linered and the same spec as Rods one that failed but was based on a used block.

Mark
hi mark just curious roughly what would a 700 hp spec engine cost all ready to drop straight in a motor ?

This is the second 1 I have done the last was a Evo 697hp 618ftlb ,
Not much wrong with the stock crank at this rpm, there are a few Swed's that run them higher

Port sizes will vary but its also whats the whole spec is so just a general size wont tell you much.

It was hotter than it base temps to it add HP on.

No the race map is so that he can become the first Cosworth to pass 200mph off Nitrous, 677 is more than enough on pump for the road.

It makes close to 2.5bar by around 4.5k as under this there is some surge that you get holding the engine under load on a dyno,It wont have that on the road.

Absolutely stunning figures, great engineering Mark.

See my article next month in FF for everything you ever wanted to know about dynos, including why this engine would likely see over 1000bhp on many chassis dyno's.ROFLOL

In a nutshell though, the Dyno cell temps were probably getting quite warm so the DIN calibration algorythm started to correct to lower ambient intake temps, such as hopefully you would see in the real world at this time of year. (Winter.. lol)

Hi Dan,

changes from last year are only three things: Primary Designs inconel manifold to Marks design, Tial external waste gate, Nikasil liners on my old block.

Hows your Fiescos doing?
