Was on my way home from work (been on nights this week) and we were on a flyer too

was doin about 90 and my mate was following close behind when a badger ran out, i never swerve as i dont want to die braked like fuck

my mate said the back end come out sighty and the front wheels locked and i then smashed straight into the fooker,

looked in my mirror and saw loadsa bit flying about and the badger rolling and my mate apearing through the smoke

pulled over and its mullered my front bumper, splitter and exploded the wheel arch liner

will check again in daylight as im sure its prob more damged

the fooker pulls to the right too

my mate said he thought id hit a desk or something cuz so many bits was flying everywhere

why the fuck dont they fit ABS to fuckin astra vans, if i had it i may have just missed him

exactly what i was thinkin at the time, was also worried bout rolling too

sounds daft but my uncle or someone knew someone who rolled after hitting a badger, was on a tight curve tho, this was a long raduis curve hence the high speed

I hit a dead badger in my little 1.0 fiesta doing about 80MPh , It was dark and wet, and I was coming off a long unlit motorway slip road, almost broke my fucking wrists the little coont, had a bit of a tankslapper and the noise the thing made when I hit it was like running over a fucking kerb Luckily I think the 80 section tyres and steelies saved the day, as it did no damage apart from to my seat colour

The 'lump' was a dead badger, and Gaz, swerved and fucking went over it

why would you have missed him? abs does not reduce braking distances, just means that the car dont skid so you can sontinue steering in control etc.? too many people rely on abs. maybe try slowing down rather than blaming the van
