Marco prob thought it was the VC before it was stripped, like I said before I have the parts in my workshop. It's Bara's baby and it was designed by a guy whose name I dont want to disclose. Marco and I simply sell the box on.

Well have to wait to see mike at Croft who can tell me something else from the truth
I'm sure Mike will confirm the cause of original fault when he see's you there (or maybe sooner if he see's this) by which time he should be able to give you an insight into the problem he has right now.

Think the post about the vc was on the white track attack car with the norris engine, and that was fixed and back in the car within a day i think.

My apologies Martin,

it was Steve Fitz's box that the VC went in,Mikes box went as you say when a bearing damaged 4th gear.

sorry.

No... I run a gearbox designed as an aftermarket fit to a Skybus, It's not a Nissan part but it is very strong.

Mike was running Martins Barra gearbox.

IF Mike has killed the box then it drove home perfectly, all beit a tad noisy.

would apper to be an 'under load' noise, personally im far from convinced that its the gearbox that has let go, IMHO it sounds more like its coming from the front diff or maybe even front prop - all from previous experience of breakages on my own car.

gearbox has worked perfectly all the way home, so that hardly categorises the gearbox as Dead or broken!!!!!!
