has any one seen this mk1 go?
i saw this at ford fair and was wondering if any one had seen it go? if so what does it move like? its a hell of an engine in a great car

My guess is that itd go very very well, and be fun too.
This car would be about the same weight (well, maybe less, dont know exact spec of the Mk1) and has same engine, and sure looks fooookin capable...

I dont understand why people put jap engines in Mk1/2 escorts and ruin the whole experience though...over the years people have tried all sorts of engines and there is not much out there that will beat a tuned pinto

mark rs have u ever driven a s2000 ?
dont get me wrong the car itself is nothing speciel but that motor is fantastic !
if u got a mk1 2me they should stay with revey na motors thats what there about and the s2000 motor is the best production na motor u can get your hands on!

classic ford mag it is then. Would love a mk1 but as its been said the price is going silly, just going to have to hope my girl friends dad see sence and give me his mk1 van thats rotting in his shed

The K20 is a good block, mates got a type R with a stroked K20 ( its stroked to a 2.2 ) and it goes well........when it hits V-TEC. Im really not a big fan of Honda's engines, they just dont have the low down grunt you want, when you want it. Rip it out the MK1 and stick a pinto in there or even a YB
