you all suggested it has a worn VC becasue sometimes (well, more often than not actually) it only spins one wheel
not at all helpful when pulling out into fast moving traffic from a standstill in the wet and needing traction to actually accelerate and not get rear ended by a lorry its fine in a straight line but pulling out of junctions is a bit hit and miss... sometimes it works fine n you rocket off to where youre going (or perform a perfect 360 spin ) sometimes its spin spin spina nd dont go nowhere
is there anything i can do to help it in the meantime before i get a replacement sorted, as its not high on the prioroties list at the moment? changing the oil or something like that? its a 4x4 diff by the way 3.62

Get yourself a new diff Jim. I got one a while back of Tim Finch, damn good price and he delivered it aswell
I've got one in me garage but it whines its sack off, hence the replacement.
Other than that, stick the thickest shittiest diff oil you can find in it and hope it works

does the VC use the normal diff oil then? (always wondered) or does it have its own oil? if so can you replace that oil? and if you cold, would that do anything?
