Welcome!!
there is plenty to read and learn on this site....amongst all the bickering and bitching there are some very smart people
master the search function and you'll find pretty much anything you need to know
i'd steer clear of a Crapri though
you're not far from me

well im really not to sure tbh with you if i went down the ford path i have always loved escort cossys but i have heard a few people sayin because of ther 4wd they arent always as fun as say a sapphire. The other problem is at the moment been 15 obviously money, also if they raise the age of driving and the fact when i do first get a car cossy or not can i afford the insurance?
but if i was to buy a cheap car now i wouldnt mind gettin an old escort mk2 maybe an im finkin cossy power
what are u planning to buy rid?

It Wasnt Me!
If I was you buddy i'd get a mk3 fiesta, forget about making it look good, but sling in a 2.0 zetec on throtle bodies...get the suspension brakes wheels and tires sorted with maybe couple of buckets and harness's and have fun !! unless your gonna be seriously rich by the age of 17 i'd forget a cossie...altho my first car was a series 1 but I didnt get my license till I was 23 and saved like a bitch to get it. p.s. welcome to PF

Hey welcome too the forum, i still love mk1 & 2 escorts, had 4 when i was younger and would still love a Cossy Powered one too but you would be better off with something modernish for yer 1st car, like a Pug 106 Xsi or summat, you can't bank on an old escort getting you from A to B lol...thats if you could find one
