Like Paul says, a correctly specced T34 can make 400 bhp on a YB so it should produce the same on a 2.0 zetec.
The 310 bhp is at 17 psi. The car is progressively being given more and more as it goes along till it gets to 30 psi.

Chris Todd of Torque of the Devil set the boost controller to 17psi where it made 310bhp on a Dyno Dynamics rolling Road.

His words were that the most he had ever seen on a T34 was 397 bhp. If there was one to break that then this would be the one

I am just thinking about putting a bigger turbo on as I know I will in the end. So instead of having more live mapping to bring the turbo up to 2 bar and then going and putting a bigger turbo on in a few months.

I may aswell kill two birds with one stone and have the mapping finished with the bigger turbo.

Wasn't expecting this many replies. So many differences of opinions with so many good reasons for both turbo's

I don't want lots of lag but my turbo is too small for my engine

Definitely want to easily be in the 400's

A wise man once told me to go for the smallest turbo for the job.

what about a T38 then?

no point fitting a turbo that is "too" big for the job tho mate.

Dont fit a T4/GT30 if you will be happy with 430 /450 bhp.

How many people have used/tested both?,
I have and I would only use a GT30, the question is are you going to take advice from people who have only used the T4 or only the GT30.

theres another side to that though mate, it you want more power at a later date you cant with a t38 as its already on its limit. im about 460 with a bit of boost caping in low revs to stop surge, but with another inlet and bigger ports ive got scope for about 530 without having to buy another turbo. just another way of looking at it mate

MadAde used a internally gated GT30 with good results so I would say a screamer pipe is not needed.

Dave personally I think you'd be better off strangling the fook out of the T34 then have a laggy car for the sake of 10/15bhp

or just remove the actuator, lockwire the wastegate shut, and stick with the housing you got.

that will save you needing to modify the downpipe too.
