It happened 6 or 7 years. I moved to Somerset (from London) three years ago. A couple of months after I setteled in, the previous owner came to vist me and see how I was enjoying life in Somerset.
He noticed that I had a Cosworth and proceded to tell me of how one summers evening him and his wife were on the patio having tea and heard a very loud bang. Then 4 - 5 seconds later they were both showered by fragments of glass that hit them and the house. The house/patio is about 80 feet away from the driveway where the impact happened (
The Cossie was overtaking and did not pull in on time and hit a transit van semi head on.
He told me that he was first on the scene and it was VERY obvious that the driver was dead! No passenger thankfully.
Blood everywhere - his wife was screaming.
He told me the story, and I sort of pictured in my mind how bad it would have been.....thought that he may have been exagaratiing.....Then last I saw the above pic here on PF......while looking at the pic I thought "god - bad crash" then suddenly noticed the roof line of the house and it dawned on me that it was my house in the picture! Spooky or what

you guys have to remember that the photos have been taken after people have been cut out of the car by the fire brigade so they look a lot worse.

Still i'd rather crash with a car that had a rollcage than with one that didnt, i dread to imagine what would have happened to the reyland guys if they didnt have one hell of a safe car.

Thats not good. See www.wreckedexotics.com for more like that. If people wanna play banger racing, fine. But not on the road please!
Oh, btw, my smart was smashed badly in the back, whole back end nearly up to front seats, only the engine stopped it. Shame I had no pics though.

Then I had the first Gartrac G6 4x4 Turbo. Complete Turbo Technics 250 BHP conversion - brand new car! Also in Azure Blue and this car was a Fast Ford Magazine featured car (front cover and 4 pages inside). Very fast car in it's time, as Cossie's were only RWD then and nobody was chipping them yet. The Escort Cosworth was still 3 years away from production!
