anyone know somwhere i can get one from?
theres a few different ones on ebay, but dont have a clue about them ( unknown names)
looking at getting a 195ofac superchip (as they are well known)
anyone know good/bad chips to look for or avoid.
what prices would i be expecting to pay for one?
will they be a "push in" and then get it setup and mapped.
or has anyone got one forsale...would be greatt!
thanks

to far for me....140miles away.
just rang NMS and there saying ring MSD
also rang up PJ motorsport and they will be able to supply a collins powerchip (any boost) for 235 and setup another 130..., 365quid?
if i can find a 195 chip for around 120quid i can have it setup for another 80/100 at hi-tec so will save me abit of money....
but i just cant find one anywhere

but then its 250+setup...350 quid
if i can find me a 195 superchip for 120 and then setup be like 220 which im happy in paying.
unless the 250 was setting up aswell so chip would be cheaper on its own? i dont know.

no its not, give Stu your spec with all the mods etc over the phone and he will map the chip to suit.
Any car will benefit from having a proper mapping session but this is as close to it as you will get without the hassle and cost (it sounds like that's your main concern)
I had one done for my ERST last year and was very happy with it![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
The Superchip will be exactly the same (plug and play) but I'm sure Stu will tell you what the differences between his chip and the Superchip are![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I don't understand about what are saying with the "setting up afterwards"?
The chip is mapped, you can't change it. The only things you can influence are the fuel pressure and the boost...

Seriously mate, just get it up to stu, 140 miles, whats that? 2 hours each way?
Then it will be done PROPERLY
TBH though, with the lack of effort you want to put in, your car is probably in a right state electrically etc under the bonnet anyway![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
(no offence intended, its just thats normally the way it works)

250 for chip
141 for setup @ MSD
i may get that chip from MSD and have it setup somwhere else as its to far to drive.
anybody know any decent places to have to setup properly in the westmidlands?
PJ motorsport? wolvo
hi-tec motorsport? cradley
norris motorsport? derby
anywhere else?
want it setup well but not silly prices?
also been looking at jamsport? and there prices ar sillllly...from 550 for chip and setup etc
also for the rebuild etc 1400 or somthing..
how good are jamsport? better than MSD and NMS!?

realy been thinking, payed alot for the engine and labour, then it has a -31 actuator on it, and was boost shutting because was letting it run to much boost, so had then turned down and was running well but just wanted it abit quicker around 180/190bhp.....so then thought i want a grs cooler so i got one and now thats fitted, it now feels quite abit slower than it was, and then i had to buy kenlowe fans for it. so will fit them when they arrive, but it started boost shutting as the cooler is letting it boost more and gave it to much bhp for the standard ecu to cope with...
and now its like another 400 quid to get everythink sorted!!
its costing me shite loads of cash, might just get rid of the cooler and have to with do with only around 150bhp.
realy dont fancy spending nearly 400quid more, might just keep an eye out for a 195superchip and get that setup for 200 (for both)
then keep it as it is!!....

Personally I think SEVS have charged you far too much and its a pretty shonky job considering his supposid knowledge of Rs cars

Look at it this way, whats cheaper a new engine when it all goes tits up from not having the car set-up to the mods that are done on it, or paying for a one off mapping session then have the car run fine for years to come ( as long as you dont fiddle with it)

i just want the 195 chip to alow the power thats beeing produced as the ecu is cutting in (to much power i would imagine)
it was boost shutting before, but know its boost shutting at around 5psi so to much power i think.
dont know that much about rs cars, as first time ive owned a turbo'd car.

-31 for a start whereas i'm guessing the superchip is for a 10psi FRST actuator? and probably beiges?
This doesn't sound too good for this car, shonky wiring and not willing to spend money......i predict a MELTDOWWWWWWWN

Stu can sort you with a good chip, but i suspect from what has been said above you'd need to get the car to him so he can see what state it's in.
is it the car in your sig?
poor wiring can cause so many problems!!

T3 will melt her down mate, its MUCH bigger than the T2 and that cooler has a big effect due to the original being so garbage to start with. Take care with your tuning...
